In the past, visitors used to book themselves into hotels but times have changed in recent years. There is now also a pretty good choice of rented holiday apartments available in most international cities including Barcelona where tourism is flourishing and an industry that is beating the current recession against all odds. Barcelona has seen an increase of nearly 10% of tourists in 2012 alone.
Let’s have a look at the advantages of renting a holiday apartment?
A holiday apartment is much cheaper than a hotel in particular if you travel with a group of friends or family as you can split the costs.
You are able to stay in the same space as apartments often have at least 2 bedrooms and there is no need to be separated. It provides an intimacy and privacy as the apartment is yours during your stay.
Every great holiday apartment should have a fully equipped kitchen so you may invite friends for some private entertaining in a very relaxed atmosphere, have a private dinner party or a few pre-party drinks before a good night out.
There is no need to stick to certain schedules such as ‘breakfast is between this and that time’. Oh I do so dislike this myself! Certainly when on holiday I like to have breakfast whenever it suits me especially after a long dancing night and I don’t like to be disturbed by the cleaners in the morning either.
Business people who travel a lot often like to continue working in a private and chillaxing environment – free WIFI is being provided by any good apartment host.
Other services of an apartment should include a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, ironing board amongst other essential household items and all should be included in the rental you pay either short-term or long-term.
Most apartments are owned by different owners and often reflect their personality. You should be able to find whatever you fancy the most modern, classic, kitsch, minimalist, retro, sexy, traditional and so on.
At the moment I refurbish a holiday apartment in the centre of Barcelona available for rent from June 2013. For updates visit www.chillaxbarcelona and www.facebook.com/ChillaxBarcelona or drop me an email firstname.lastname@example.org for advise and tips on Barcelona.
See you soon and enjoy Barcelona!
